COVER REVEAL & SNEAK PEEK: TANGLED SOULS

As I prepare this post, I’m approaching the 2/3 mark in Tangled Souls, the third book in the Tangled Magic Series!

Although the series is technically four books, this book will wrap up the series arc that started in book one, Tangled Roots, making it a trilogy of sorts (book four will be a holiday-themed novella that rounds out the series).

I don’t have a specific release date for this one yet, except to say that I’m pounding away at the keys, with a goal of releasing it sometime this fall. A lot depends on other people’s schedules (proofreading, formatting, etc.). Just know that I’m hard at work, tea or coffee in hand. (At this moment, it’s iced coffee, because it’s crazy hot here in the Virginia mountains!)

Victoria Cooper has designed a phenomenal cover for this one. First, it’s purple, my favorite color. And secondly, it features a heroine with glasses, which, as someone who’s worn glasses since my elementary school days, I can definitely get behind.

Scroll down for a sneak peek of Evan and Bailee’s story and a look at the full cover.

Without further ado, the cover–and a snippet from Tangled Souls (Tangled Magic #3):

I didn’t know if I’d ever get used to seeing him again. And I knew for damn sure I wouldn’t get used to the gnawing ache that made me want to loop my arms around his neck, press my face to his chest, and never let him go.

My heart pattered  in my chest. “Hey.”

He nodded. His long hair was back in its ponytail, his beard shorter than it had been, but still scruffy. I’d never thought I would see Evan Felson with a bit of scruff, but I liked the look. It didn’t help the quiver in my belly or the wobble in my legs every time I looked at him.

There was almost something like relief in his eyes when he looked at me. But it faded as quickly as it had come, replaced with a cold indifference.

I held up one of the plastic to-go cups. “Cold-brew from French Twist? I had them add that sugar-free hazelnut syrup to yours.” I extended my arm toward him, tempting him with the beverage.

He took it. “Thanks.” He drank a few deep swigs from the paper straw.

I took a few more sips from my iced coconut mocha. I pressed the toe of my purple high-top sneaker into the damp earth.

Vaguely, I was aware of the birdsong, the dappled sunshine, the fallen oak. But all I saw was Evan’s face. And all I heard was my blood pounding in my ears, louder even than the swollen creek in the distance.
